THE CLASSIC SUIT FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY

Ferala Team

Our first proposition for the groom's outfit is to wear a classic suit that is universal and fits many types of silhouette. This outfit has many advantages: every man feels comfortable in it; it adapts to many accessories, so you can choose almost any tie or bow tie; in combination with a white shirt, it looks extremely dignified.

Which fabric to choose for your suit? Opt for an Italian material in super 150's or super 170's wool from Loro Piana in a bright tone, such as light blue or light gray. If you prefer the classics, then stick with the navy blue color, which will suit any skin tone.

As for the jacket, you can customize it by choosing the width and shape of the lapels, or the shape of the pockets so that the set reflects your unique style. The made to measure also gives you the possibility of choosing the colors of the lining, the buttons as well as the buttonholes, but be careful to remain consistent with the main tone of your outfit. The jacket will normally have 1 or 2 buttons, but if this fit seems boring to you, choose a double breasted jacket with wide lapels. A good idea is to complement the set with a waistcoat, straight or double breasted, to maintain the elegance, even after removing the jacket. This piece can be sewn in a contrasting fabric to refresh the ensemble and show your individual style.

When it comes to a shirt, a wedding usually calls for classic white or ivory white if the bridal gown is cream. Prefer cotton woven in twill or poplin, not too light to avoid the problem of fabric transparency. We recommend the fabrics from Thomas Mason, Albini or Canclini which you will find very comfortable and pleasant to wear. Likewise, choose shirts whose cuffs can be adorned with beautiful cufflinks.

Accessories:

The suit will naturally be accompanied by a bow tie or a tie, like the one from a magnificent Paolo Albizzati collection, as well as a pocket square which is generally white or ivory. See more of our accessories.

Fabrics to recommend

Opt for a plain Italian fabric in super 150's wool like Loro Piana Tasmanian or an English fabric in super 170's wool like Holland & Sherry Dragonfly Gostwyck.
