At Ferala we’ve always strived for the best quality and the best service by introducing only the premium fabric suppliers as well as working with passionate and skilled craftsmen to deliver the ideal product. We cooperate with several high-end textile manufacturers to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.
One cooperation that we are very proud of is the one with Ermenegildo Zegna. This Italian brand established in 1910 in Trivero is a renowned textile mill run by the fourth generation of the Zegna family. Fabrics from this manufacturer are famous all over the world and are used both in made to measure and ready-to-wear collections. What is characteristic of this brand is the extraordinary care at every stage of fabric production. Ermenegildo Zegna controls the way and the location of animals breeding, the cut of their fleece, the production of threads till dyeing and weaving. This special care for the raw material allows Zegna to provide wool of the highest quality.
Taking care of animals and their well-being is also part of the brand's philosophy, which has been guided by environmental protection for many years. Sustainability is also reflected in the production process itself by not wasting water, saving energy and finding ways to reduce waste. Furthermore, it also means being responsible for the local community for almost a century and weaving microeconomic connections, providing work for local craftsmen. Thanks to this, textile crafts have not disappeared and today we can admire the artistry of traditional knowledge and skills. This is the hallmark of Ermenegildo Zegna, which for decades has been able to combine traditional craftsmanship with technological innovation. As a result, it offers fabrics that meet the highest technical requirements and are at the same time the embodiment of timeless elegance.
Our adventure with Zegna fabrics began a few years ago and today these products constitute a significant percentage of our sales. We are exceptionally proud of this because every boutique working with this cloth must meet the highest quality requirements. Our clients appreciate Ermenegildo Zegna for its craftsmanship, elegant weaving and fabric design evoking Italian style.
To illustrate what the exclusive world of Zegna fabrics means, we have prepared a series of articles describing several special collections. Let's start with 14milmil14. This is a collection that combines the utility of wool with the delicacy of cashmere. The use of 14-micron wool means that, although the material is designed for colder weather, it is incredibly light and breathable. Combined with cashmere, which adds delicacy, we have a sense of pure indulgence. The 14milmil14 collection offers fabrics suitable for everyday wear and at the same time luxurious thanks to the use of the finest cashmere.
The choice of Xavier was a suit made of beige fabric with a brown repeating check pattern. The light color looks very elegant when combined with the flannel aspect of the surface. But due to the bold design, Xavier chose a classic suit cut, combining a single-breasted jacket with a classic notch lapel and the flap pockets. The trousers are less fitted and the legs are without cuffs. Xavier also decided to remove the belt loops because it would be difficult to match a belt to this fabric.
The ensemble creates a winter suit for everyday use with a slightly relaxed hint. In combination with a brown shirt it gives an elegant effect, in combination with a denim shirt the outfit will seem more sporty.
A bright fabric from this collection was also Aleksandra's choice, who opted for a light gray one with a brown stripe pattern. The combination of these two colors is very fashionable this season, and the modern pattern of widely spaced stripes differs from the classic pinstripes. Since this is a work suit, it must meet the comfort requirement, hence its cut is not too tight. The jacket has a classic shape and is finished with a wide peak lapel collar. Aleksandra chose pleated trousers with straight legs finished with cuffs.
Aleksandra wears trousers on everyday basis, but a simple short skirt suitable for more special occasions is also part of this outfit. Worn with a high waist, it ends with belt loops, so it is worth choosing an elegant belt. An essential part of this piece are the pockets - an extremely practical solution and very rarely found in skirts bought in ready-to-wear stores.
Both presented outfits were made of wool with a touch of cashmere and silk from the 14milmil14 collection. Despite its exceptional lightness, the fabric wraps us in warmth without overheating, and its flannel structure gives the whole ensemble a more expressive effect. Without a doubt, these are some of the most valuable and beautiful suits in the Ferala crew's wardrobes.
