This event is a famous trade fair and fashion show held twice a year in Florence, Italy. It is one of the most important and influential events in the menswear industry. In our Ferala story, this is the first time that we have been able to attend this extraordinary fair and it is with great pleasure that we will tell you about our impressions and our experience. Being professionals passionate about menswear for years, we have always considered Pitti as a source of inspiration and today it is a dream come true to be able to participate. So let's see how these days unfolded in Italy.
Above all, Pitti is an oasis of creativity, where art meets craftsmanship and fashion. The simple fact of entering the fair is the promise of an unforgettable artistic journey touching all the senses. Visitors had the possibility of entering through a hall laid out over a huge basin filled with balls. The walls of the room, lined with huge LEDs, showcased the play of lights and, combined with the music, everything gave the impression of taking part in a mystical spectacle.
After leaving the hall, visitors proceeded to the main pavilion and along the way they had the opportunity to visit exhibits of various brands, including the legendary Kiton. The main plaza featured an artistic arrangement in the form of the Statue of Liberty designed by Eli Russell Linnetz. The area around the square was the main arena for people who wanted to take pictures. This is where you may have spotted fashion influencers and popular bloggers in the made-to-measure world. We had the pleasure of personally meeting several influencers whom we follow and appreciate for their style and their contribution to the field of bespoke tailoring. We also met people in our domain, managing stores in all regions of the world, which led to interesting discussions on made-to-measure.
The three days we spent in Florence were filled with visiting various exhibits and meeting with vendors. During the fair, more than 800 companies from all over the world had the opportunity to present their products and services. It was a huge treasure trove of the highest quality products and a meeting place with top craftsmen. We had the opportunity to meet our current Italian suppliers, as well as to establish cooperation with new companies whose products will soon be available in our store.
In addition to finding new contacts, Pitti Uomo gives the opportunity to learn about future fashion trends, both ready-to-wear and bespoke tailoring. The theme of the exhibitors was very broad, from classic elegance to sports and outdoor collections, including experimental fashion presented by young designers. Full of colors, richness of styles, creativity and all maintained in a harmonious aesthetic.
Pitti Uomo is above all people. It is a constant fashion show, where anything is allowed (because why not?), the paparazzi whose clicks of cameras can be heard continuously in front of the main pavilion. It is creativity in its full, uncensored version that reminds us that fashion is fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously.
