Unique events require exceptional solutions. If you are looking for spectacular clothes that make an impression, it is worth considering a classic tuxedo. This evening ensemble, usually worn for evening galas, appears more and more often as a groom's garment.

The tuxedo is traditionally found in black fabric. However, “tailor-made” offers many more possibilities, such as a tuxedo in a beautiful navy blue.

In the case of a classic tuxedo, there isn't a lot of space for too many modifications. However, you can personalize the jacket by choosing the type of lapels (shawl or peaked lapels), their width and the cut of the jacket (1 button or the double-breasted jacket). The lapels must be covered with satin, black or navy blue depending on the color of the selected fabric, as well as the welts of the pockets and of course the buttons.

The pants of such an ensemble should traditionally be finished with satin stripes on the sides of the legs and worn without the belt. To fit the waist well, it is recommended to hold the pants with white suspenders or insert tightening side adjusters. The belt should be covered with satin as well.

The shirt, as for it, will be white or ivory depending on the dress of the bride. For the choice of fabric, opt for a cotton from Thomas Mason or Canclini for maximum comfort. It is recommended to wear a shirt with a pleat hiding the buttons, finished with a semi-Italian collar and cuffs with cufflinks. If you are looking for something more elegant and chic, ask your tailor to finish your shirt with a piqué bib that closes with studs.

As for accessories, think of the white or ivory pocket square, always matching your shirt, preferably in cotton for a better fit, like those offered by Simonnot Godard. The tuxedo will naturally be accompanied by a bow tie recalling the color of the ensemble. As for your shoes, a nice pair of Oxford shoes, preferably patent black color, will add a touch of elegance and style to your outfit. See our accessories.

Fabrics to recommend

Opt for an Italian fabric in Super 150's wool like Loro Piana Tasmanian or an English fabric in Super 160's wool like Holland & Sherry Cashique Suiting. If you are looking for a more satin or printed fabric, try the iParty collection at Cerruti.
